Today we are finishing making the new tail cone and back flap. Aiden, Corbin, and Pete are making the final cuts on it. Everyone helped move the car to the ground. There had to be good communication skills, so we would not drop the car and injure themselves or others. We also had to have a plan to help guide us to the ground across the shop. Build is working on fixing the wheel alignment. Will taught the new build team members how to find out what you need to change when working on wheel alignment. Christina and Thomas are working on the PowerPoint and adding some more information.
Inspiration of the Day: “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” -Will Rogers Explanation: We are the right path to making a car that will win and get us to Indy. If we do not try hard and work to accomplish our goals, we will get nowhere as a team. We need to find a common goal and work to be able to accomplish it. With more to come, Ella and Josh

Today we are still cutting out the back flap and tail cone. Sadie, Pete, Will V., Aiden, and Ian are cutting out pieces for the back flap. They finally got more XACTO knives to use which will let other team memebers cut. We can finish cutting sooner because more people can cut. Will A. is going to decide which photo will be in the yearbook, and is updating the website. Christina and Sean is updating the PowerPoint that we use to present with. The PowerPoint needs to be updated with all the correct information, so we do not present the wrong information to others. We took a team vote on what color we should tape our back flap and tail cone. We decided on lime green to give it a pop of color. Ian, Pete, and Will V. are taping the tail cone and back flap right now. We decided to tape all the parts we will not see black. Josh is finding new riddles, jokes, and inspirational quotes to save for our upcoming blog posts.
Answer to yesterday’s riddle: racecar Joke of the day: Why were Star Wars released in the sequence of 4,5,6,1,2,3? With more to come, Ella and Josh Today we took our team photo for yearbook and our website. Will is going to send an email with our photo to put in yearbook and he will update the website with our new team photo. Build team is still working on cutting out the back flap and tail cone. They need to be very careful when using a razor and wear gloves, so they do not cut themselves or others and they always need to cut away from themselves. The ones who are actually cutting need to have a steady hand, so they do not cut a line that is not accurate and we cannot use. Josh is working diligently on finding new riddles and jokes to use on the blog. Pete, Will, and Sadie are working on finishing tightening the screws on the car. Christina will be editing the PowerPoint presentation soon that we use to present. She needs to update and put in what we are working on right now.
Riddle of the Day: What vehicle is spelled the same way forwards and backwards? With more to come, Ella and Josh Today we are working on making a new back flap and tail cone. The build team will make final measurements and cut out our new designs. We were told to measure twice and cut once. This was to ensure that we made exact cuts so we won’t mess up the new designs. Christina and Aiden are working on composing an email to send to companies that could possibly sponsor us. Our emails need to be as professional as possible to show that our team is mature and know what we are doing. Sadie and Will our tightening some screws and helping Pete cut out the back flap. Our team’s group photos will be taken tomorrow for yearbook and the website.
Answer to yesterday’s riddle: They were born on different years. Inspiration of The Day: “Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder.” -Anonymous Explanation: Each day we are faced with problems that we need to find a solution. Some problems are especially difficult, but we must not shy away from no matter how hard. Our team needs to learn now to be positive even when we are discouraged. There are days where we feel like nothing makes sense if the issue confuses us, but we need to look past the troubles and focus on the outcomes of each of our possible solutions. With more to come, Ella and Josh Today and for the past two days we have been preparing for our Chick-fil-a spirit night. Will and Ian are still working on designing our car's nose cone, but Christina and Aiden finished the volt meter cover on Friday. We are taking pictures for our website bios which you should definitely look at. Pete and Josh worked on creating a new design for our team logo today while Thomas worked on the budget.
