Today we are practicing our scripts for the Whitesburg race video presentation. While we are not practicing scripts the team will continue to clean up the shop and anything else that needs to be cleaned. We would like for our video presentation to be as professional as possible, a clean background is just one measure that we are taking to make the presentation as perfect as we can. We are planning ahead for any possible 90 minute practices so we can test our new batteries and new tires.

Today we are cleaning up the shop for the background of our video presentation. The team is continuing to fix the scripts for Whitesburg. Our public relations team is making cue cards so we don’t forget our lines while filming the video presentation. Finally, we are gearing down from our race preparations and putting everything in its correct place.
Inspirational quote: “If you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful.”-Eric Thomas Riddle of the day: How do dinosaurs pay their bills? Answer to yesterday’s joke: Roberto with more to come, Josh Today we had a team meeting and we discussed whether or not we should go to Mad City. We came to the conclusion that the risk for consequences is too high. After the race was as postponed to April 14th, it would be cutting it too close to Whitesburg which is on May 13th. Ian, Christina, Will A., and Thomas are looking over the Whitesburg video presentation script. We have a former teacher coming in to help us edit our video presentation once we have it filmed and ready to edit. The public relations team is working on a tri-fold that explains what we do for the Mountain Gap Elective fair. This will be a good opportunity for us to draw attention to our Greenpower team for upcoming students. Aiden, Will V., and Pete are taking our newest tires, the slicks, off of the car and putting our practice tires on. The slicks decrease the friction between the track and our tires. Our old blogger Ella moved away so from now on I will be taking her place as blogger and Sean will take my place as assistant blogger.
Joke of the day: What do you call a man with a rubber toe? With more to come, Josh Today we are critiquing the scripts for our video presentation to ensure there are no misspelled sentences or grammatical errors. Sean, Ella and Josh are going over how to do blog since our previous blogger Ella is leaving today and will be passing the responsibility to them. Aiden and Will V. are taking the tires off in the shop, because the Mad City race has been postponed to April, 15. Christina went to the shop to take a picture of the car send it to her dad and to check that the parts were in good condition.
With more to come Sean and Josh Today we are doing our 90-minute practice run. While our first driver is driving, the rest of the team is going over race day plans. There is going to be differences between our last race and this one, because its’s going to be all in one day instead of Friday and Saturday. The team changed the nosecone because the new one didn’t fit properly. We made some modifications to our old one so we still had improvements and did not use an ineffective nosecone. This morning, some of the team went to the shop, so the car would be ready for the practice during seventh period. We had to put the nosecone on and put tape in strategic places. The team is practicing the presentation. We have a lot of part changes and we need to be prepared for anything to happen.
With more to come, Ella Today the team is preparing for the race on Saturday. We have to fix a lot on our car to make it ready to race. Pete and Will A. are practicing getting in and out of the car during pit. They need to make sure they don’t bump the Arduino and kick the wires. We put the car on the sawhorses so we could make adjustments near the wheels and give it a more flowing look and design. Thomas and Christina are working on the presentation and making some adjustments. We need to practice the powerpoint with all the new changes. Will V and Will A are organizing the travel toolbox and putting our tools in their proper places. The team is trying on their jumpsuits to make sure they fit properly, and that we don’t need any new ones. We had a team meeting about where we need to be on Saturday. We are having presentation early in the morning so we need to be there really early so we can practice.
Answer to yesterday’s riddle: a deck of cards With more to come, Ella Today we are critiquing our scripts for mad city presentation. The scripts have had spelling and grammatical errors and needed to be fixed. This is Sean's first time blogging for the team, and he is doing really well. He is following an outline Ella created to help everyone be able to write the blog. Aiden, Corbin, and Pete are counting the money from our snack cart. We have made a great profit from the snack cart and are bound to make even more. Josh and Ella have been working on our tri-fold to try and get more kids interested in Greenpower and join. There will be an elective event we will be presenting at on April 4th. If you are interested, we will see you there, and will be glad to answer any of your questions.
Riddle of the Day: What has a Heart but no other organs? With more to come, Sean and Josh Today we are practicing the scripts for the Whitesburg video presentation. all of our team members are going over their scripts so we can get the video presentation done as quick as we possibly can with the least amount of mistakes. We are still finishing all the final additions needed before Mad City such as gear change, attaching the new nose cone, align the wheels, fix toe and camber, and add the Arduino system. We are planning on buying new tires, if possible we will try to get them before the next race. The new tires that we plan on getting are slicks. They give better rolling resistance which will speed our car up.
Answer to yesterday’s riddle: They were born in different time zones Quote of the day: “Just because my path is different doesn’t mean I’m lost”- anonymous With more to come, Josh Today we are finishing up the plans for our next race, Mad city classic. Instead of the video presentation, mad city will be the same as the Jemison race, a regular presentation. The team will present to a panel of judges and we will be rated on a rubric based on things we include in our presentation. Our video presentation team is revising all of the scripts and scenes for our Whitesburg video presentation. After the scripts are revised we will begin filming the scenes for the presentation. Next week we will finish all of the adjustments needed for the next race. After the adjustments, we will practice our presentation and begin focusing on the race more than anything else.
